Hermiston B&B

A personal recommendation from Ken & Babs Isherwood.
We use this B&B in Braithwaite just above Keswick.
Steve & Tracy have contacted us with an offer of Three nights for the price of Two, up till the end of April.. that is £140 for three nights in double room with a fantastic breakfast, (includes Weekends)

This is just a B&B not a Hotel........But there is a large pub a couple of hundred yards along the road.

Pondfauld Holidays

A great welcome from Mel & Keith who gave us the guided tour of our "Woodpecker Lodge". We were provided with complementary shortbread to enjoy with our refreshing cup of tea after our long journey. The lodge is set in an orchard and is surrounded by beautiful Scottish scenery. It is featured on the Bike Stay website and therefore offers a great welcome to bikers, with bike cleaning facilities and garaging if required. The venue offers good secure parking.
If you want a relaxing place to stay whilst at the same time touring beautiful and spectacular countryside with simply stunning roads, then this is the place to stay. Close to local amenities, such as fuel, supermarket and a local within walking distance. We just loved it.

Villa Mercedes

We have just been to Spain and stayed at Villa Mercedes, (we found the accommodation link on the club website), I thought it would be helpful to other club members to provide feedback on our stay. We had just got back from a trip to the Faro show in Portugal on our moto Guzzi California, via France and Spain which covered 3,580 miles.

On day five of our tour we arrived at Villa Mercedes at 9.00 pm after travelling for 11 hours in 35c heat, very tired and unannounced. We had intended to stay at Servilla but arrived late and found it too large and busy so decided to continue and see what Villa Mecedes was like.

Despite the late, unbooked arrival, Bill and Judy were very welcoming and quickly set about arranging a very comfortable, air conditionerd on suite room while we relaxed and enjoyed a beer.
As we had arrived late and unannounced they were unable to provide a meal but gave directions to a local village for us to get a meal.
When we returned we sat and had a chat with Bill and Judy over another beer.

The next day we enjoyed a breakfast of home made jams and marmalade, local ham, cheese and freshly squeezed oranges from their own trees and a proper cup of tea!
Unfortunately our stay was brief and so we were unable to take advantage of all the facilities including the pool. They even have a self contained Finka if you prefer to have your independence.
We can highly recommend a stay at Villa Mercedes. It is well placed to use as a base as it provides access to many areas of Spain and Portugal, as well as many coastal resorts for the Atlantic and Med and some cities with interesting architectural and historic monuments, including the Alhambra in Granada.
