2). The Pan Gathering in Semmering Austria, August/September 2012.
Hi Everyone, Richard here,(the Broadcaster).
Whilst Greame, Dave and Alex are doing fantastic jobs in organising weekend events for all you lucky people, (I'm sounding like Frankie Howard now), lets not forget the Pan Gathering in Semmering Austria in August/September 2012.
I'm not sure how long people are going for, but I am in the process of planning my trip down to Semmering and I was wondering how many of you are going, and would like to join me for a carefree and enjoyable ride down. I will be scheduling for two weeks and routing from Etap Hotel, Coquelles, Calais 9.00am on Saturday 25th August and returning to Calais Friday 7th September for an overnight stay, Chunnel first thing Saturday morning and a steady ride home.
Each day will consist of between 200 to 300 miles, (5 to 8 hours riding), no toll roads, a few main roads and a lot of scenery. Five days to get down to Semmering, and Five days back. Approximately 2100 miles from Calais to Calais thats not including the Pan Gathering Ride-outs, so not for the faint hearted or the tender bottomed. Even so, everyone is welcome.
Please click to see my proposed route, (the map is interactive and large so please give it time to load properly), nothing is set in stone yet but when I know how many are going I can plan routes and Hotels accordingly to accomodate our needs.
I will set up an emailing list for those who show interest in joining me. . . . . Ta Richard..........

3). Aston Hotel in Dumfries, Friday 1st June to Tuesday 5th June. Astonhotels, Dumfries.

It is good to be able to offer you, the membership, as much riding choice as possible, and with that in mind I have looked into the possibility of organising a UK based long weekend over the period Friday 1st June to Tuesday 5th June.
Dave Galloway, an NPR member and proprietor of "White Rose Tours", very kindly put me in touch with the Aston Hotel in Dumfries, which he uses during his own tours. Details of the hotel are available at www.astonhotels.co.uk/dumfries.aspx .
The hotel, which is set in parkland with ample secure parking, is located close to the town of Dumfries, with access to some excellent riding roads in the scenic SW of Scotland. The hotel will provide the club with a private dining facility and a dedicated room with bar for socialising in the evenings.
The cost would be £60 per person per night for dinner bed and breakfast based on 2 sharing or £80 per person per night based on single occupancy.
If you are interested in this long weekend please let me know as soon as possible as the hotel is provisionally holding a numbers of rooms for our use.
Regards, Alex Hargreaves. member@hargreaves99.fsnet.co.uk
