Subject:- Heated Handle Bar Grips

This question was asked by a member:-

Could anyone suggest where I might fit a temperature controller for heated grips on my ST1100? (By the way, I've heard all the usual responses and most of them are anatomically impossible or difficult to reach while riding!). The usual place seems to be on the top of the clutch reservoir but I wondered if anyone had a better idea.
Cheers, Peter

1. Thought you may want my suggestion to know where to put your control for you heated grips. I have put mine on the right hand side of the dash near the speedo, and I have had no problem reaching it. I also glued mine to the dash as I found the sticky pads which were supplied with the unit were not sufficient to hold the unit in place. Hope this is useful for you. - Jeff

2. I can't think of a better place than the clutch lever mount myself, but I did see, I can't remember where at the minute though, where a chap had his controller mounted in the left hand fairing pocket. Seemed a little strange to me, how do you adjust the temperature when riding? but there's one option for you Peter. How about fitting it straight to the top of the fairing top above the ABS switches, that could look quite neat I suppose, I'd really be interested in why Peter wants them away from what seems to me the best position though. All the Best. Paul
