Subject:- Sidecar Choice

This question was asked by a member:-

Does any one know of a firm that could supply and fit a nice little sporting side car to my ST1100 at a realistic price? Please not Charnwood Classics, I know it involves lots of modifications. I have seen a few nice combinations about on the road. Have any of you got one ? Would love to hear all comments. - Paul

Subject:- Reflective Markers

This question was asked by a member:-

How do I fit reflective markers to the rear of my Pan ?

I used 3 inch wide Diamond Grade 3M tape and made a paper template before sticking the tape on the pannier. I firstly put two vertical strips of red on (after giving it a good clean with white spirit). I then cut the Yellow strips in half lengths making 1.5 inch wide strips. This I stuck on top of the Red tape at approx a 45 degree angle - (again after cleaning with white spirit).
These have been on my bike about a year now with no sign of wear at all but just be careful when cleaning any muck off the stripes when washing your bike so as not to catch any corners.

You can purchase this tape from e-bay and should only cost a few pounds.

Hope this is of help to anyone wanting to apply hi viz stripes. (No one has ran into the rear of me - yet ! and people do slow down when haring up my rear to pass me) - mind having a white pan does also help !!

Subject:- Headlamp Protector Fixings

This question was asked by a member:-

Does anyone know where I can by those little squares of 3M Dual Lock that are used to stick the headlamp protectors to the headlamp lens? Speedsytle used to sell them but not any longer. I don't really want to try using ordinary velcro.
Many thanks, Lesley

Dual Lock fixings for the headlamp protectors. I've managed to get some from Demon Bikes. The link to the product is http://www.demonbikes.com/more/on/details/6649

A pack of 8 (to make 4 pairs) costs £2.50 + p&p.

Best regards, Les
